About the Position

TransForce is seeking experienced CDL Class A Yard Shuttle Drivers for a local operation in Fontana, California. This position offers competitive hourly pay, overtime after 8 hours daily, and a consistent rotating schedule with day and night shifts available. Drivers will shuttle trailers between two nearby yards, maintain equipment organization, and support safe, efficient yard operations.

Pay & Schedule

• $24.00 per hour
• Overtime after 8 hours per day
• 12-hour shifts
• Rotating 3-day and 4-day workweeks
• Day and night shifts available

Available Schedules

• Schedule A – Day: Sunday–Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Schedule B – Night: Sunday–Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• Schedule C – Day: Thursday–Saturday and every other Wednesday, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Schedule D – Night: Thursday–Saturday and every other Wednesday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Job Details

• Route type: Local yard shuttle

• Shuttle distance: Approximately 2 miles between yards
• Equipment: CDL Class A tractor-trailers
• Handling: Trailer movements, equipment inspections, and yard audits

Key Responsibilities

• Safely shuttle tractors and trailers between Calabash Yard and Slover Yard.
• Move and position trailers in designated yard locations.
• Maintain organized equipment and parking areas.
• Conduct yard inspections and equipment audits.
• Identify and report equipment damage or maintenance concerns.
• Communicate with management and vendors regarding equipment repairs.
• Follow all applicable DOT and facility safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license
• At least 6 months of recent Class A Yard Hostler experience within the last 2 years
• Ability to safely maneuver and position tractor-trailers
• Comfortable working 12-hour day or night shifts
• Strong communication skills and attention to safety
• Must meet all applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements
