About the Position
TransForce is seeking a full-time CDL A Flatbed Driver for a temp-to-perm opportunity in Sarasota, Florida. This position involves local delivery of mulch products throughout the Sarasota and Tampa areas. Drivers will operate day cabs with automatic transmissions and flatbed trailers and may assist with unloading at customer locations.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay rate: $22.00 per hour
- Overtime available after 40 hours
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Dispatch times between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
- Monday through Friday, with Saturdays during the spring and summer as needed
- Typical workdays are 10 to 12 hours
Job Details
- Route type: Local deliveries
- Service area: Sarasota and Tampa, Florida
- Freight: Mulch products
- Equipment: Day cabs with automatic transmissions and flatbed trailers
- Handling: May assist with unloading at customer sites
- Stops: Approximately 3 to 4 per day
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL A tractor and flatbed trailer on local delivery routes.
- Transport and deliver mulch products to customer locations.
- Assist with unloading freight when required.
- Complete approximately 3 to 4 customer stops per day.
- Follow all applicable safety, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with flatbed experience.
- 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
