Job Summary:
- This position is primarily responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient movement of materials in the warehouse and provides regular truck loading and unloading with minimum supervision.
Key Details:
- Moves materials in the warehouse and loads / unloads trucks safely, accurately, and promptly.
- Accurately records all material movements on move sheets and/or wireless computer system on forklifts (when installed).
- Regularly assists with receiving material on paperwork, counts material, tags material, etc.
- Assists in handling customer pickups, salesperson pickups, etc.
- Makes efficient use of time so that output is maximized, and other people are assisted when necessary.
- Maintains specified housekeeping zone.
- Complete all required continuous learning training, including safety, compliance, and job specific.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- High School graduate, or GED equivalent.
- Recent experience with sit-down forklift, stand up forklift (GA Division Only), and pallet jacks required, with excellent safety record.
- Minimum of 1-5 years of applicable experience required, with familiarity with similar packaging products preferred.
- Experience with using PC and applications, warehouse management systems, wireless forklift computer systems, and scanners preferred.
- Learns quickly and rapidly applies what has been taught. Flexible, willing to do what has been asked.
- Highly safety and quality-conscious; making good decisions about working safely and about identification of product.
- Organized – keeps paperwork and orders in proper sequence.
- Professional communicator – with customers, drivers, other co-workers, etc.
- Detail-oriented, checks his/her own work and corrects mistakes made. Is extremely careful when identifying material.
- Good to excellent attendance record.
- Displays good teamwork and initiative – works well with small groups and helps others when needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally remains in a stationary position, standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Occasionally communicating with others to exchange accurate information.
- Constantly moves self in various positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Constantly moving to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Constantly ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like.
- Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Constantly operating machinery and/or power tools.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Constantly adjusts or moves objects up to 50 pounds in all directions individually, without use of equipment.
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 75 pounds with the use of equipment.

Employees who work 30 hours per week are eligible for paid time off at a pro-rata accrual rate. Vacation/Sick paid time off is accrued on a per paycheck basis and starts 30 days after hire date. Floating Days are awarded based on date of hire and start 30 days after hire date
