About the Position

Our client is seeking three part-time CDL Class A Drivers to support a local mail transportation operation in Shreveport, Louisiana. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers consistent, home-daily routes and welcomes travel drivers while permanent positions are being filled.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $27.89 per hour
• Health and Welfare: Additional $5.55 per hour for the first 40 hours worked each week
• Total potential compensation: $33.44 per hour, including the health and welfare benefit
• Employment type: Part-time, temp-to-perm
• Schedule: Sunday through Saturday, typically five to six days per week
• Dispatch times: Between 4:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m., depending on the route
• Average shift: 8–10 hours
• Hours per week: 40
• Layovers: None; drivers return home daily
• Expected start date: August 3, 2026

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer between facilities.
• Complete scheduled, time-sensitive delivery routes.
• Roll mail carts and containers on and off trailers.
• Secure mail carts using straps and other required equipment.
• Back into loading docks at postal facilities.
• Operate liftgates when required.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Follow all applicable DOT safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• 6+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Ability to perform light-touch freight duties, including moving rolling mail carts.
• Comfort with multi-stop routes and backing into loading docks.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability for time-sensitive deliveries.
