CDL-B Local Driver – Bloomfield, CT

Seeking one CDL-B Driver to support local and regional transportation operations based in Bloomfield, CT.

This is an approximately 12-week assignment, with the possibility of becoming permanent for an exceptional driver.

CDL-B Driver Details:

• Reporting Location: Bloomfield, CT

• Pay: $29 per hour

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week

• Hours: 6:30 AM–2:30 PM or until the route is completed

• Assignment Duration: Approximately 12 weeks

• Drivers Needed: 1

• Route Type: Local and regional

• Average Stops: Approximately 5–15 stops per day

• Service Area: Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont

• Freight: Pipes and fittings

• Equipment: 26-foot flatbed straight truck

• Handling: Loading and unloading required

• Automatic-Only Drivers: Accepted

• Temp-to-Hire: Not typically; may be considered for an exceptional driver

CDL-B Driver Minimum Requirements:

• Valid CDL-B

• At least 1 year of recent, relevant, and verifiable commercial driving experience preferred

• Experience operating a flatbed straight truck

• Ability to safely load, unload, and secure pipes and fittings

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record

• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements

CDL-B Driver Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a 26-foot flatbed straight truck

• Transport pipes and fittings throughout the assigned service area

• Complete approximately 5–15 stops per day

• Load, unload, and properly secure materials

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork

• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers

• Follow all company, DOT, and customer safety procedures
