About the Position

Our client is seeking CDL-A local flatbed drivers for a home-daily position hauling steel products throughout Kansas and the western half of Missouri. Drivers will operate modern equipment, make 2–6 stops per day, and receive light-touch freight handling with customer unloading.

Pay & Schedule

• Average weekly pay: $1,400+ (est. $75,000/year)
• Pay rate: $0.70 per mile plus component pay
• Monday through Friday schedule
• Dispatch times between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., depending on the route
• Typical workdays are 8–12 hours

• Freight: Steel sheet, coils, and long products
• Handling: Light touch; drivers take a loaded truck, and customers unload the freight
• Equipment: 2026 Freightliner Cascadia with automatic transmission and a 48-foot flatbed trailer
• Technology: Motive ELD and delivery app
• Stops: 2–6 stops per day
• Weekly mileage: Approximately 1,500–1,600 miles

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver steel products throughout the assigned coverage area
• Operate a Freightliner Cascadia and 48-foot flatbed trailer
• Complete 2–6 delivery stops per day
• Use the Motive ELD and delivery application accurately
• Follow all applicable safety and transportation regulations
• Maintain timely communication regarding routes, deliveries, and load status

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL-A
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Flatbed experience preferred
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
