About the Position
Our client is seeking a skilled CDL A Driver for a local heavy-touch position in Freedom, Pennsylvania. This role involves operating single-axle and tandem-axle flatbeds, as well as a 48-foot tractor-trailer, while delivering fire sprinkler pipe and supplies.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Overtime: Available
- Employment Type: Temp to perm
Job Details
- Route Type: Local deliveries within 5 hours of the shop
- Freight: Fire sprinkler pipe and supplies
- Equipment: Single-axle flatbed, tandem-axle flatbed, and 48-foot automatic tractor-trailer
- Handling: Approximately 90% to 95% driving and 5% warehouse work
- Position Type: Heavy touch
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate assigned flatbed and tractor-trailer equipment.
- Complete local deliveries of fire sprinkler pipe and supplies.
- Perform heavy-touch freight handling and assist with warehouse work as needed.
- Conduct required vehicle inspections and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
- Provide professional and dependable service during all customer deliveries.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL A.
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- Moffett and forklift experience preferred.
