CDL-A Yard Jockey Driver - $32/hr - Forklift exp. Required

This CDL A Yard Driver position in Mechanicsburg, PA pays $32 per hour. The local, home-daily role involves moving box trailers within a facility yard and warehouse, with forklift work available when trailers do not need to be moved. 

CDL-A Driver Details:

• Pay: $32 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Holidays: Work is required on all but two holidays annually
• Overtime: Mandatory during peak seasons; shifts may run from 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Moves: Up to 60 trailer moves per day, depending on operational needs
• Freight / Load Type: Packaging materials
• Equipment: Yard truck with box trailers
• Loading and Unloading: Not typically required
• Additional Duties: May operate a forklift when there are no trailers to move

CDL-A Driver Minimum Requirements:

• License: Valid CDL-A
• Experience: At least one year of experience operating commercial vehicles, yard trucks, forklifts, or similar material-handling equipment
• Ability to safely complete frequent trailer moves within a busy facility yard
• Forklift experience (6 months) required
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents within the last three years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements

CDL-A Driver Responsibilities:

• Safely move and position box trailers throughout the facility yard
• Complete up to 60 trailer moves per day based on operational needs
• Transport packaging materials within the assigned facility
• Inspect equipment before and after each shift
• Operate a forklift when needed and qualified
• Follow all warehouse, yard, and company safety procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the operations team
• Work mandatory overtime during peak seasons as required
