CDL-A Long-Haul Driver – York, PA Area

TransForce is seeking CDL-A Long-Haul Drivers to support regional transportation operations originating from the York, PA area.

CDL-A Long-Haul Driver Details:

• Reporting Area: York and South Central Pennsylvania

• Pay: $33 per hour

• Overtime: Not offered

• Schedule: Approximately 2–3 turns per week

• Start Time: Between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM

• Route Type: Regional long haul

• Distance: Approximately 400–500 miles from York, PA

• Weekly Loads: Approximately 6 loads—3 outbound and 3 return loads

• Home Time: Approximately 2–3 nights away from home per week

• Service Area: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, New England, Upstate and Western New York (No deliveries to any of the boroughs), Ohio, Virginia Beach, and North Carolina

• Freight: Food and beverage products, corrugated materials, and retail goods; no livestock

• Equipment: 53-foot dry van

• Handling: 100% no-touch freight with drop-and-hook assignments

• Additional Duties: Chocking trailers and sweeping trailers when needed

• Automatic-Only Drivers: Accepted

CDL-A Driver Minimum Requirements:

• Valid CDL-A

• At least 2 years of recent, relevant, and verifiable commercial driving experience

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record

• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements

• Ability to remain out approximately 2–3 nights per week

CDL-A Driver Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer on regional routes

• Complete approximately 2–3 outbound and return turns each week

• Deliver and reload freight throughout the assigned service area

• Chock and properly secure trailers

• Sweep trailers as needed

• Operate within all DOT-regulated hours-of-service requirements

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Maintain accurate paperwork and communicate effectively with dispatch
