SeekingCDL-A Yard Jockeys to support onsite trailer-movement operations in York, PA.

CDL-A Yard Jockey Details:

• Reporting Location: York, PA

• Pay: $28 per hour

• Overtime: Available

• Schedule: Four or five 12-hour shifts per week

• Shift: 4:00 PM–4:00 AM

• Weekend Requirement: Saturday or Sunday availability is required

• Drivers Needed: 3

• Route Type: Onsite yard operations

• Equipment: Ottawa yard truck and 53-foot dry van trailers

• Freight: Food and beverage products, corrugated materials, and retail goods; no livestock

• Handling: No freight loading or unloading

• Automatic-Only Drivers: Accepted

• Temp-to-Hire: Yes

CDL-A Yard Jockey Minimum Requirements:

• Valid CDL-A

• At least 2 years of recent, relevant, and verifiable commercial driving experience

• Yard-jockey or Ottawa truck experience preferred

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record

• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements

• Ability to work overnight and weekend shifts

CDL-A Yard Jockey Responsibilities:

• Safely operate an Ottawa yard truck

• Move and position 53-foot dry van trailers throughout the facility yard

• Complete drop-and-hook assignments

• Chock trailers and confirm they are properly positioned

• Sweep trailers when needed

• Conduct equipment inspections before and after each shift

• Follow all yard and facility safety procedures

• Maintain accurate movement records and communicate effectively with onsite leadership
