About the Position

TransForce is seeking experienced CDL Class A Drivers for local shuttle operations in North Smithfield, Rhode Island. This position offers $30 per hour, a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, and home-daily routes. Drivers will shuttle loaded and empty trailers between nearby facilities, with no freight handling required.

• $30.00 per hour
• Monday through Friday
• 2:30 PM start time
• Approximately 8–9 hours per shift

• Delivery area: North Smithfield and Pawtucket, RI
• Equipment: Manual transmission tractor-trailers
• Freight: Corrugated materials
• Handling: No-touch freight
• Trailer movements: Up to 20 per shift
• Shuttle distance: Approximately 1 mile between facilities

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer on assigned local shuttle routes.
• Transport loaded and empty trailers between nearby facilities.
• Hook and unhook trailers and position equipment in designated areas.
• Complete up to 20 trailer movements per shift.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate driving logs and required documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and yard personnel to coordinate trailer movements.
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license
• 1+ years of verifiable CDL Class A tractor-trailer driving experience
• Ability to safely operate a manual transmission tractor-trailer
• Experience maneuvering, backing, and positioning trailers
• Ability to work a consistent afternoon shift
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and safety history
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
