About the Position

TransForce is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Flatbed Driver for regional deliveries based out of Fort Worth, Texas. This position offers competitive hourly pay, modern automatic equipment, and consistent regional work. Drivers will transport roofing sheet metal and steel coils across Texas and surrounding states, with 2–3 overnight layovers per week.

Pay & Schedule

• $28.00 per hour
• Dispatch typically between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM
• Shifts averaging 10–14 hours per day
• Regional schedule with 2–3 layovers per week
• Typically out Sunday through Tuesday or Wednesday, with an additional Thursday departure and Friday evening return
• Routes and schedules may vary based on delivery needs

Job Details

• Route type: Regional deliveries across Texas, New Mexico, Georgia, Louisiana, and Oklahoma
• Equipment: Peterbilt and Freightliner sleeper cabs
• Trailers: 53-foot curtain-side Conestoga flatbeds
• Transmission: Automatic
• Freight: Roofing sheet metal and skidded steel coils
• Handling: Load securement, strapping, and occasional loading and unloading using Moffett, boom truck, or forklift
• Training: 1–2 days of ride-along training with an experienced company driver

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer on assigned regional flatbed routes.
• Transport roofing sheet metal and steel coils safely to customer locations.
• Properly strap, secure, and inspect loads before and during transport.
• Assist with loading and unloading using Moffett, boom truck, or forklift equipment as required.
• Handle lighter freight, including trim box bundles, when necessary.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and communicate route delays or concerns with dispatch.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Follow all applicable cargo securement, safety, and transportation regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable Class A driving experience
• 1+ year of flatbed driving experience, load securement and strapping
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Ability to assist with loading and unloading freight when required
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
