About the Position

Our client is seeking a CDL-A Flatbed Driver for local operations in Roanoke, Virginia. This position offers home-daily routes, automatic transmission equipment, and the opportunity to transport roofing shingles and supplies.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay: $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience
• Schedule: Monday through Friday with a 7:00 a.m. start
• Home daily

Job Details

• Route type: Local, making 3 - 8 stops per day
• Freight: Drivers will be responsible for delivering roofing shingles and materials to different job sites in the area within 2 hours of Roanoke,  VA
• Equipment: 28-foot flatbed with Moffett attachment.
• Handling: Strapping and unloading with a Moffett forklift

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and delivering materials to job sites and internal company locations
• Traveling between pick-up locations and regional branches
• Communicates necessary information in a timely manner to the Warehouse Manager
• Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and checkout process
• Assists with transporting company vehicles/assets as needed
• Fills in for other drivers during any work absences, including but not limited to sicknesses and vacations
• Performs all duties as scheduled by Warehouse Manager and assists as directed to meet branch needs
• Drivers will assist with small tasks in the warehouse if needed to get the 8 hours.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Flatbed and Moffett forklift experience required
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
