LNSU is seeking a highly-organized and detail-oriented Virtual Special Education Case Manager to join our team. In this role, you will provide critical remote case management services to ensure student plans are meticulously created, maintained, and implemented in strict compliance with federal and state regulations. You will serve as a central hub for compliance, guiding school teams through procedural requirements and meeting crucial timelines. Key Responsibilities: -Compliance & IEP Management -Coordinate and facilitate Evaluation Planning and Eligibility Determination meetings within your assigned grade span. -Manage the entire IEP process: schedule meetings, send Notices of Meetings, gather baseline/progress data from service providers, facilitate the meeting, and draft the IEP (Form 7) or amendments/revisions. -Synthesize reports from assessors to write comprehensive student Evaluation Reports. -Input accommodations for state testing into the VTCAP system and update digital student records (such as Infinite Campus). Communication & Collaboration: -Caregivers: Serve as a primary point of contact for IEP and regulatory concerns. Share parent rights, communicate regarding accommodations/modifications, and diligently log all touchpoints in EdDoc. -School Teams: Partner with special educators, classroom teachers, and "specials" teachers to ensure they are fully aware of required student supports. -Meetings: Facilitate weekly meetings with service providers, attend monthly meetings with the Student Services Directors, and lead Manifestation Determination or Coordinated Services Plan (CSP) meetings as required. (Note: Meetings are recorded for documentation purposes). Documentation & Scheduling: -Maintain accurate digital spreadsheets tracking students and service providers, ensuring appropriate access to EdDoc. -Upload all relevant paperwork to EdDoc and distribute final documents to caregivers virtually. -Create weekly service schedules for students, 1:1 paras, and teams. -Maintain an open, privatized availability calendar to streamline team scheduling. -Support complex student needs by coordinating follow-through on team decisions (e.g., agency outreach, ordering specific materials, consulting). -Complete necessary Medicaid logs for case management, evaluations, and annual meetings. -Maintain physical student files with tri-annual updates (requiring occasional, minimal travel to school sites roughly twice a year). Job Requirements & Qualifications: -Education/Certification: Valid State Certification in Special Education (or equivalent eligibility for case management). -Experience: Proven experience in special education case management, writing IEPs, and navigating state evaluation processes. -Technical Proficiency: Comfortable working entirely remotely. Experience with systems like EdDoc, Infinite Campus, and VTCAP is highly preferred. -Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, strong digital communication etiquette, strict adherence to timelines, and a collaborative mindset.
