Summer And Fall A 2026 Language Assessment Course

Combine materials from the Online Classroom Research & Assessment Course and the previous 15-week MIIS Assessment course into a course for world language teachers in a range of contexts, from elementary school through higher education, focused on languages other than English.

Core Responsibilities:

• Designs a 7-module online asynchronous course called Language Assessment to be delivered over a 7-week period in Fall B 2026.
• All content should be contextualized for teachers of languages other than English, and apply to a range of contexts.
• Each module should include an introductory video to each module, video lectures, audio lectures, links to pre-made readings, videos and podcasts, no more than 2 discussion forums per module, and design activities which demonstrate the knowledge, skills and dispositions addressed in the module.
• For the final assessment in the course, in-language readers may be engaged to comment on student designs.
